Continuing Desktop Access After the Course

One convenient capability of DaDesktop is that learners can keep working on their course machine for practice once the training wraps up. Before the course concludes, participants receive an email asking if they want to keep their desktop available after it finishes.

Typically, each participant's desktop is deleted soon after the course ends. If you'd like to retain it for further lab practice, you can clone it into a 'Standalone Desktop' for ongoing use.Option to clone machine after course

Go to your Course page, find your desktop machine, and click the 'Use desktop after course' button beside it.

After clicking, DaDesktop guides you through a straightforward process and lets you 'Enable' this feature.

Once enabled, you'll notice an indicator appears by your course machine.

When the course is over, you can get to your Standalone machine by clicking the Standalones menu at the top of your screen.

Any machine that goes unused for a month gets automatically removed, but an advance warning email is sent out so you have time to continue using it if you wish.
